Halkidiki is the favourite holiday destination for thousands of locals and foreigners, and you will have the chance to explore it on a motorcycle! We will ride fantastic coastal and some mountain roads with lots of curves and spectacular views, while staying at the same hotels means that you can ride baggage free or you can even leave your pillion back suntanning!

Day by day itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Thessaloniki

We will meet you at Thessaloniki airport and take you to the hotel, which is located in the centre of the city. Depending on your arrival time you might have time for a city walk, coffee or lunch. We will also might do all motorcycle paperwork, to be ready for riding next morning! In the evening you will meet the rest of the group for the welcome dinner, where we will have a quick briefing of our tour schedule.

Day 2

Thessaloniki - Ouranoupolis (150km)

We will ride some easy B-roads immediately after we exit Thessaloniki, and soon after the curves starts, as we climb to Poligiros, the capital of Halkidiki area. We will continue on small roads with nice views of the sea to the picturesque coastal village of Pirgadikia for a coffee stop. After lunch at a small tavern by the sea, we will soon arrive at Ouranoupolis, and you will still have time to enjoy a swim!

Day 3

Rest day - Loop ride Kassandra (300km)

Kassandra peninsula is a favourite summer destination. There are many beach-bars and lots of visitors, but there are also some quiet places and nice villages. We will ride around the peninsula enjoying both kinds of places, nice roads and the great beaches, before we return to our hotel in Ouranoupolis.

Day 4

Rest day - Loop ride Halkidiki forests (170km)

The northern part of Halkidiki is mountainous and unknown to the tourists, but it is great for biking tours, as there are many interesting roads through the forest and very few traffic! We will ride to Olympiada, and ancient Stagira, the birthplace of Aristotle, before we hit the twisty road to the village of Varvara and the small town of Arnea - famous for the honey and Tsipouro production. We will then make a loop ride on the tight roads of Taxiarhis mountain, before visiting an open air museum featuring Aristotle's inventions. The road back to the hotel offers a few more nice curves and a relaxing last part by the sea.

Day 5

Rest day - Loop ride Sithonia (230km)

Sithonia peninsula is well known for it's beaches, but it also has a fantastic twisty road ideal for motorcycles. The road runs between the forest and the beaches and it is always a pleasure to ride.

Those who do not want to ride can spend the day on the beach or take a boat tour around Mt. Athos.

Day 6

Rest day - Loop ride Amouliani isl.(50km)

The tiny island of Amouliani has some fantastic beaches and it is 20' away with the ferry. There are just 5km of paved road on the island and another 10 of unpaved- all leading to beautiful beaches.

If you are not interesting in riding, there is the option of renting a boat and spend the day on the beaches of the small islands of the area!

Day 7

Ouranoupolis - Thessaloniki (140km)

It is time to return to Thessaloniki, and there are a few different options to do that: The relaxing and easy coastal road, the b-roads around Mt. Holomondas or the twisty little roads though the forest...

In Thessaloniki you will have time for a walk and last minute shopping, or even a drink in one of the numerous bars...

Day 8

Departure from Thessaloniki

Depending on the time of your departure, you can enjoy a short tour in Thessaloniki, or just a coffee in the beautiful promenade. We will be happy to accompany you and show you more about our home town before we transfer you to the airport for your flight home

  1. Thessaloniki - UNESCO world heritage site

    Thessaloniki is not only known as a n UNESCO world heritage site because of the numerous Byzantine monuments, but also as a very live city, with excellent food and and intense nightlife

  2. Kassandra

    Kassandra, the westernmost peninsula is crowded during summer, but still hides some great beaches and quiet corners. On other hand, if you like parties and intense nightlife, this is the place for you!

  3. Sithonia

    Sithonia, the second peninsula, is quieter, and you will love the golden beaches with the crystal clear water, the natural beauty of the area and the relaxed way of vacations. Ride around the peninsula and enjoy a great biking road, with many curves and dramatic views of the beautiful beaches!

  4. Agion Oros (Holy Mountain)

    Agion Oros (Holy Mountain) is the easternmost peninsula, but you can not ride there: It is a place for prayer and isolation. You can though ride to Ouranoupolis, and take a boat tour of Agion Oros, or even better visit the small island of Ammouliani, with the exotic beaches…And if you follow the unpaved road on the island you might find a beach just for yourself!

  5. Northern Halkidiki

    Northern Halkidiki lives in the shade of the coastal areas, but if you decide to explore it, you will be amazed from the natural beauty and the history of the area. Here you can ride some great roads, visit Aristotle’s hometown and even experiment with some of his inventions in the educational park!
