Explore some of the most beautiful and unknown areas of Greece along with well known monuments and experience the true Greek hospitality and everyday life in Thessaloniki. We have combined some long rides with rest days so that you can enjoy this unique motorcycle tour to the maximum! From high mountains to golden beaches we will ride some great biking routes -this tour demands a bit more experience and stamina!

Day by day itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Igoumenitsa - Kallirroi (255km)

We will meet you at Igoumenitsa port, and we will have a short briefing over coffee. We will then ride to Ioannina for a little sightseeing before we reach Metsovo and Katara pass. The famous Meteora are next in the program, before we ride to Kalliroi through thick forest and next to white-water rivers.

Day 2

Kallirroi - Portaria (280km)

We will start the day riding Aspropotamos area towards Pyli and beautiful lake Plastira. Then we will cross Thessaly plain to the Aegean coast and Volos. The final part of the day is a nice, twisty climb with nice views to the scenic village of Portaria, where we will stay for the next two days.

Day 3

Rest day - Loop ride Mt Pelion (0-150km)

Mt Pelion is a fantastic place for motorcycle riding : There are many scenic villages, lots of things to see, tasty local cuisine and above all lots of great small twisty road up in the mountain or by the blue sea....

Day 4

Portaria - Naoussa (330km)

In the morning we will ride on the foothills of Mt Pelion and a coastal road that will take us near Mt. Olympus, home of the 12 gods! We will ride some fantastic roads around this impressive mountain and we will also visit the archaeological site of Vergina, a UNESCO world heritage site!

Day 5

Naoussa - Kerkini (160km)

We start the day with a relaxed ride through fruit tree fields to Pella, birthplace of Alexander the Great. Then, we will visit Goumenissa, a nice small city surrounded by vineyards. The sort route to lake Kerkini is a nice B-road, but there is also another option - a twisty road just next to the borders...

Day 6

Kerkini - Thessaloniki (120km)

This will be a relaxed morning, as Thessaloniki - our destination for the day is very close. You can take part in activities or just relax by the lake...A nice road by the lake will take us to the main road and we will arrive in Thessaloniki around noon, so you have the afternoon free for a walk or shopping or a coffee by the sea...

Day 7

Rest day - loop ride N. Halkidiki (0 -275km)

Everyone knows Halkidiki as a summer destination with marvellous beaches, but we will show you that there is more than that - A very interesting mountain with oak forest and great biking roads..

Day 8

Rest day - loop ride Sithonia (300km)

Sithonia peninsula in Halkidiki has some of the best beaches in Greece, but it also has a very nice road that goes around the peninsula, offering some great views to that beaches...

Day 9

Thessaloniki - Agios Germanos (230km)

We are heading to the mountains again today...The first part of the ride is easy and relaxing and will take us to Nymfeo - one of the most beautiful traditional settlements in Greece. After lunch, it will be only twists and curves to our destination, the small village of Agios Germanos in Prespa lakes...

Day 10

Agios Germanos - Zagori (240km)

After a short ride in the area of Prespa Lakes, we will head to Kastoria for a coffee stop. There are many Byzantine churches and old mansions in Kastoria and a busy promenade by the lake...We will continue on challenging small roads to some small but very beautiful villages, before we take the main road that will take us to Konitsa. From here, our hotel is just minutes away...

Day 11

Rest day - loop ride Zagori area (0 - 150km)

The area of Zagori has lots to offer : stone bridges, traditional settlements, fantastic scenery and great biking roads...We will also have time for great photos and relaxing with the locals...

Day 12

Zagori - Igoumenitsa (200km)

With the new road from Ioannina to Igoumenitsa, travelling time is reduced a lot, so we will have time for a stop in Ioannina. The city is interesting and there are many option for sightseeing, last minute shopping or relaxing by the lake..We will then ride to the port of Igoumenitsa.

  1. Thessaloniki - UNESCO world heritage site

    Thessaloniki is not only known as a n UNESCO world heritage site because of the numerous Byzantine monuments, but also as a very live city, with excellent food and and intense nightlife

  2. Naousa

    Naousa is the city of wine, and birthplace of Dionysus. It is also the place where many Macedonian tombs were discovered, and the place Aristotle was teaching Alexander the Great!

  3. Lake Kerkini

    Lake Kerkini area is one of the most important European wetlands and birdwatching destinations, but also a great place to relax or take part in adrenaline rush activities.

  4. Vergina - UNESCO world heritage site

    Vergina was just a small village near Naousa, but today is famous around the world because of the Royal Tombs and the Palace of Phillip II, Alexanders' father.

  5. Meteora - UNESCO World Heritage site

    Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage site, a wonder of nature and human faith. Monasteries dating back to 12th century build on the top of vertical rocks is not a common sight!

  6. Halkidiki

    Halkidiki is a world known holiday destination with amazing beaches. With Ouranoupolis - the gate to Mt Athos (Holy Mountain) as a base we will ride the amazing coastal road of Sithonia peninsula, to some of the most amazing beaches....

  7. Zagori area

    The area of Zagori is unique...High mountains, Vikos Gorge -one of the worlds steepest gorges and the magnificent stone buildings and bridges will steal your heart.

  8. Mt Pelion

    Mountain Pelion was home of the Centaurus, and today is a great place to visit all year round, as it combines the green of the forest and the tree farms with the gold and blue of the beaches and the sea.
