Aphrodite - Motorcycle tour in Greece

Day 1

Arrival in Thessaloniki

We will meet you at Thessaloniki airport and take you to the hotel, which is located in the centre of the city. Depending on your arrival time you might have time for a city walk, coffee or lunch. We will also might do all motorcycle paperwork, to be ready for riding next morning! In the evening you will meet the rest of the group for the welcome dinner, where we will have a quick briefing of our tour schedule.

Day 2

Thessaloniki - Naousa (140km)

We will start the day with an easy and relaxed ride to the magnificent Archaeological site of Vergina and the Royal Macedonian Tombs. After Veria, we will head to Naousa following a twisty mountain road through dense forest. In the hotel you can relax in the veranda or SPA and taste local V.Q.P.R.D "Naoussa" wines before our dinner.

Day 3

Naousa - Kerkini (180km)

The day will start with a relaxed ride through peach tree fields and small villages to Pella, the ancient Macedonian capital to admire the famous tilled floors. Our next stop will be Goumenissa, a small, lovely town on the foothills of Mt Paiko, surrounded by vineyards. Our final destination, Kerkini is not far away, but for those who like mountain roads we have a very interesting alternative...

Day 4

Kerkini - Xanthi (280km)

After a ride next to lake Kerkini we will head to Serres, and form there to the mountains...We will have coffee at Drama before we ride in the area of Nestos river - unknown and untouchet by tourism! There are some great biking routes here and small scenic towns that you will love. Xanthi is a live city and after that we will ride to our hotel in a nice and friendly village next to Nestos River

Day 5

Rest day - Loop ride to Thassos island (140km)

The small port of Keramoti with the long sandy beaches is less than 30min riding away from the hotel. The ferry will take us to Thassos in another 40min. The twisty main road around the island is less than 100km long, but there are many great beaches for a swim, traditional villages and attractions like the ancient Theatre to fill the day...

Day 6

Xanthi - Ouranoupoli (200km)

In the morning we will visit Kavala with the impressive Roman aqueduct and the scenic harbour. We will then ride a nice coastal road where we can stop for a swim. From Asprovalta we will turn into smaller roads with many curves and nice scenery. The last kms to Oupanoupolis the road runs next to beaches with crystal clear water...

Day 7

Rest day - Loop ride Sithonia (225km)

Sithonia peninsula is well known for it's beaches, but it also has a fantastic twisty road ideal for motorcycles. The road runs between the forest and the beaches and it is always a pleasure to ride.

Those who do not want to ride can spend the day on the beach or take a boat tour around Mt. Athos.

Day 8

Ouranoupolis - Thessaloniki (170km)

We will ride back to Thessaloniki through the mountains of Halkidiki, a playground for bikers, as the roads are full of curves and tight turns and the scenery great! On our way we will stop to an open air museum dedicated to Aristotle's inventions (he was born in the area) and the small town of Arnea. In the Thessaloniki we will have time to walk in the city and relax.

Day 9

Departure from Thessaloniki

Depending on the time of your departure, you can enjoy a short tour in Thessaloniki, or just a coffee in the beautiful promenade.
We will be happy to accompany you and show you more about our home town before we transfer you to the airport for your flight home
